Mandarin Advantage provides Chinese language learning materials designed for families that speak little or no Chinese at home. We utilize mediums that allow us to provide both audio and visual feedback, like television and the Internet. We also use a bilingual method of teaching so we can engage new Chinese language learners.

We focus on subjects that can be readily incorporated into daily life and that are interesting and important to your children. We hope this will motivate them to use and share their new found language skills.
Our first product “Journeys to the East” is a series of DVDs that teaches Chinese through an exciting adventure in ancient China. By drawing your children into an active adventure, we hope to capture their imaginations to then impart some Chinese language. Each episode will introduce (or review) 50-200 vocabulary words. Initial episodes will be 20% Chinese and 80% English. As the episodes progress, the ratio of Chinese to English will increase so that by the end of the series, your children will be comfortable viewing programs in Chinese.
In addition to exposing your children to the Chinese language, we also want to share some of the beloved Chinese stories and China's rich history. By setting the adventure in ancient China, this gives us endless opportunities to bring them to life for a new generation.
